Lavender (Lavandula Latin) is a genus of 39 species of flowering plants of the mint family. This genus is distributed from Makaronesian across Africa, the Mediterranean, Southeast Asia, Arabia, Iran, West and South-Eastern India. It is believed that the genus originated in Asia, but most diverse in the western part.
