Rasin Monday in Russia

Cool tradition exists at the University of St. Andrews. Every first-year student, must pass a ritual, some kind of passage, a so called initiation. In ancient times the old students were using raisins. Therefore, the ceremony is being called the “Raisin Monday”. For this day they receive a receipt for compliance with tradition. Who could not do the goal (squeezed raisins, bastard) – gets dipped in the fountain.
