A Diet coke and Mentos eruption also known as mentos eruption or a coke geyser. When a mint or fruit Mentos dropped into a bottle of diet coke a rapid rate reaction take place and huge foam coming out of the bottle of diet coke. The reaction is so fast that a jet of a coke can reach up to height of 10m or even more.
Diet coke is carbonated and Mentos have combination of tiny holes on them. When Memtos is drop on the coke bottle, the carbon dioxide in the soda comes out into the tiny holes on the mentos, and the process is very quick. The aspritame and caffeine increase the effects, ,thus having the bubbles rocket out so fast that the some of the soda is dragged along, thus creating the large fountain of soda.
Don’t ever try mentos with a coca-cola this may lead to DEATH.
A little boy died in Brazil after eating MENTOS and drinking COCA-COLA with MENTOS.
